A brief History of Centocow High School Choir

The Centocow High School is located in a deep rural area of Centocow in KwaZulu Natal. The Choir was established in 1995 by principal Mr. B.L. Nhleko and the Committee formed by Miss S.P. Chiya, Mr. G.F. Mseleku - choir manager, Mr. P.S. Khuluse (Conductor) and late Mr. B.C. Gamede.

As a result of hard work, passion, great enthusiasm and dedication the Choir emerged and developed reputation, which lead to invitations from the local government and other local stakeholders to entertain at events and celebrations. Centocow High School Choir represented its school at different competitions and every time it was highly rewarded. With their extraordinary talent the Choir has collected 161 trophies from various competitions. Recently it has also featured at National Level where it represented KZN.

Our warm greetings and thanks we send to the Small Village Foundation in USA. Because of your help our dream has become a reality. With your gift we have been able to record our first CD. We hope the friendship will continue to deepen.
We also acknowledge our priests from the Pauline Fathers Order from Centocow Mission - Fr. Stanley Dziuba, Fr. Ignatius Stankiewicz for their contribution.

Message from the Choir Conductor:

My main aim is to uplift and unearth the talents of these young stars who are so willing to explore their talents and to show their ability no matter where it be, potential is enhanced where there is good leadership. I am very grateful to my Choir Choristers who normally go out of their way to ensure that they give of their best as they represent their school and area. Thanks to the Principal and Teachers I work with for the cooperation and encouragement they always give me. Last, but not least, my great thanks to God for giving me my talent. Finally I also hank and remember my late mother for showing me the right way.
