On 28 of July 2006 there was a celebration of "Catechists' Day" of our Umzimkulu Diocese that took place in the Hall of the Teachers College at Umzimkulu. In celebration that was organised by Fr. Andre Zandu and Catechists Team -participated the Priests and Catechists of our Diocese. Fr. Paul Manci, the Vicar General presided and represented Cardinal Wilfrid Napier, OFM.
During the celebration there was giving the certificates to those who completed the three year course and became the catechists' trainers of our diocese.
